DAY 1: Arrive Varanasi

Namaste! Welcome to India!

(Hotel check in time 1200 Noon) Arrive Varanasi airport, you will be greeted by our representative & transferred to the hotel. Arrive at the hotel and take rest.

Evening you will proceed to watch the Ganga Aarti by boat at Dashashwamedh Ghat. This beautiful ritual makes every moment of the evening special and fills with the spiritual thoughts. It is performed by the brass lamps which accompanied with the mantra chant in the presence of the huge crowd.

DAY 2 |Varanasi

Early morning before sunrise proceed for a boat ride on the Ganges & enjoy Subah-e-Banaras at Varanasi ghats. It is a mystical and spiritual experience to watch Sun God along River Ganges.

Continue visit various ghats like Manikarnika Ghat (Largest Cremation Ground of World), Dashashwamedh Ghat, Assi Ghat and more during your Boat Ride. Return back to hotel for breakfast. Varanasi is the main spiritual places for all Hindu pilgrims which are surrounded by many religious temples explore the Tulsi Manas temple (the Ramcharitramanas was written here), Sankat Mochan temple (dedicated to Hanuman, the reliever from hardship), Bharat Mata temple. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) provides a glimpse of the Indian education system and how it evolved over the decades. Next visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple built by the Birla family located in the BHU campus.

Later take an excursion tour to Sarnath. Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. This place is famous for the Attractions like Buddha temple, Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa and the Archaeological Museum (Closed on Friday). Overnight stay in Varanasi.

DAY 3: Varanasi

Most of those that come to practice here do so not for professional aspirations, but for spiritual enlightenment. The seriously devoted professionals follow a strict diet regimen, and swear off alcohol, tobacco.

 

Optional -Walking Tour – Covers best of the Varanasi sites & stories of Death & Rebirth. Beginning with a fertility temple and ending with the cremation grounds, this tour takes many of the sites of other tours and strings them together in to a fantastic experiences.

2.Photography is generally allowed but restricted in some temples.

Later proceed to explore Ramnagar Fort; this 17th century fort is the residence of kings of Varanasi. The royal family still occupies the fort’s major portion and a part is open only for visitors. This Fort showcases the medieval Indian architecture and its amalgamation with Persian architecture. There is also a small museum within fort known as Saraswati Bhawan providing detailed information about the History of Varanasi and its emperors.

DAY 4 | Varanasi – Chitrakoot (257 KM 5 hrs. approx.)

Chitrakoot have religious and spiritual importance half lies in Madhya Pradesh and half in Uttar Pradesh the oldest pilgrimages in the country Located on the banks of the Mandakini River (also known as the Paishwani River). Chitrakoot is a gift of nature,One of the most important place mentioned in the great Hindu Epic Ramayana.Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman stayed here for about 11 years of their 14 year exile and met Sage Atri and Sati Anasuya. It is also believed that all the gods and goddesses came to Chitrakoot when Lord Ram performed the final rites of his father here.

DAY 5 Chitrakoot

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of  Kamadgiri which in Sanskrit means the mountain that fulfils all desires. Ram Ghat, on the banks of the Mandakini River with its temples. Sati Anusuya Ashram that are popular religious places of interest.

For visiting natural creations, one must visit the Pramod Van and Dharkundi Ashram. Janaki Kund, believed to be the bathing place of Sita, is on the Mandakini River and has clear blue water. Sphatik Shila are prominent tourist attractions as they are believed to be the places where Lord Ram and his wife, Sita stayed. There is a cavern known as Gupt Godavari where the Godavari River flows over rocks set deep inside the cave and the river disappears inside another cave.

Day 6 |Chitrakoot – Pryagraj

After breakfast drive towards Pryagraj 128 Kms 3 hours drive approx. upon arrival transfer to the hotel.

Prayag is situated at the confluence of holy rivers Ganga and Yamuna and Indian mythology states that the invisible Saraswati river also joins here. Hence, it is also called Sangam and is said to have soul cleansing powers. Sangam draws pilgrims from all over the world round the year but especially at the time of the Maha Kumbh Mela. Millions of devotees bathe ritually in the waters to break the eternal cycle of reincarnation.

Later explore the sightseeing tour of Pryagraj, visit Allahabad Fort, built by Akbar in the year 1583 on the bank of River Yamuna. Inside the Fort explore the beautiful halls and palaces along with the Ashoka Pillar and Saraswati Koop.  A 10.6 m high Ashoka Pillar is one of the key highlights of this entire place which traces its history to 232 B.C.

Next visit Ananda Bhawan – the former residence of Nehru family which has now been transformed into a museum showcasing various artefacts and articles of the era of Independence movement in India. Allahabad Museum is systematically structured to render an exclusive learning experience. This exhibits research works of some of the most famous historians, archaeologists, and academic scholars.

Day 7 | Prayagraj – Ayodhya (167 KM, 4 hours approx.)

After breakfast and drive towards Ayodhya 167 Kms 4 hours drive approx. upon arrival check in to the hotel.

Later, we proceed for local sightseeing tour of Ayodhya visit Shri Ram Janm Bhumi, Hanuman Garhi Mandir, Kanak Bhawan and Ram Pattabhishek Temple.

 

Ayodhya is believed to be the Birth Place of Lord Rama.  It is on the banks of the Saryu River, bathing in which is supposed to destroy even the sin. Overnight stay in Ayodhya.

Day 8 | Ayodhya – Naimisharanya - Lucknow

After breakfast and drive towards Naimisharanya 202 Kms 4 hours drive approx, proceed to visit Naimisharanya. Naimisharanya is also known as Neemsar or Naimisha.

This town is rich with Hindu Mythology and is known as the place where Sri Chakra stopped when Lord Vishnu used it to cut the body of Sati Devi which ended up creating 51 Sakthi Peet temples.

The Chakratirtha in Naimisharanya is a circular pond filled with clear water. According to legend, an imminent Kaliyug made the rishis seek refuge in Brahma. Brahma let his chakra or wheel roll across the Earth and told the rishis to settle down at the place where it stopped.

Dedicated to Lalita Devi – the presiding deity of Naimisharanya, it is counted amongst the Shakti Peethas, thus making it a highly revered Hindu shrine in Uttar Pradesh.

Later drive to Lucknow, on arrival check inn in hotel. Overnight stay in Lucknow.

Arrive at the hotel and take rest and after that start your local sightseeing of Lucknow covering British Residency – Built during the rule of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan II, the residency was part of the 1857 siege of Lucknow. Bada Imambada – The historical landmark is a big complex consisting of the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya and a Bowli. Chotta Imambada- one of the most beautiful and attractive buildings in the old city of Lucknow, Rumi Gate- built by Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula in 1784, It is an example of Awadhi architecture. Jama Masjid- 15th century architectural wonder with sparkling white sandstone calligraphy on its walls, charming minarets and picture-perfect domes.

Day 9 | Lucknow

After breakfast start your local sightseeing of Lucknow covering British Residency – Built during the rule of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan II, the residency was part of the 1857 siege of Lucknow.

Bada Imambada – The historical landmark is a big complex consisting of the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya and a Bowli.

Chotta Imambada- one of the most beautiful and attractive buildings in the old city of Lucknow, Rumi Gate- built by Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula in 1784, It is an example of Awadhi architecture.

Jama Masjid- 15th century architectural wonder with sparkling white sandstone calligraphy on its walls, charming minarets and picture-perfect domes.

After breakfast transfer to railway station/airport.
